Dear Members / Kodiyathurians,
A big Hi to all! I have just joined this group.
First of all, let me beg all of your pardon as I trespassed to this group. I am not a Kodiyathurian, I hail from Tripraya (Thrissur District) But I luv kodiyathur, I still cherish sweet nostalgic memories during my stay at Kodiyathur for 2-3 years from 1989 to 1992. This deep passion towards Kodiyathur made up my mind to be a member of this group to know updated news about Kodiyathur, to know about the luving people there…
Some of members may remember me. I came to Kodiyathur in 1989 to teach English at Tharbiyath College and left in 1992 for Bahrain. Other than a teacher, I was a political activist. As a part, I was intimately interacted with the people of Kodiyathur during my stay there.
I found a pertinent peculiarity on the People of Kodiyathur - their willingness to accept or listen or to discuss with or argue with any kind of social vision by any political, religious factions... it is rare to find such a society in a village. As a part of my academic career and my political activities, I have traveled and stayed all districts from Trivandrum to Wynadu and also many states in India. But I could not find any village with so interesting peculiarity as Kodiyathur. They are diversely segmented with many political religious visions but have garlanded by a instinctive unity.
I never forget the luv and attachment Kodiyathur bestowed on me. I enjoyed every moment there. The landscape and natural beauty is so passionately cascading still..I have visited almost all houses there. I was so lucky being guest to many of houses there.. The festive mood during Ramadan… I used to attend 2-3 Ramadan Brake fast treat a day! I was not an outsider that time; I was one of them, involving with them, getting inspired from them.
Now I am in Dubai, it is long 13 years now I left Kodiyathur. When I flung back, I may not remember the names, more often the pet names of the people of Kodiyathur; but the faces and images of the people wont ever fade in my memories, it is imposed in my deep heart…
I respect their broadness, I admire their humanity and luv, I luv their kind heartedness and hospitality towards an outsider…..

Dear Anees,
I would like to congratulate you for this wonderful achievement ie. designing a site of our own Kodiyathur. A very few have succeeded in such a venture. Thank you for making this site more informative and attractive.
My suggession is to get more feedbacks and continous update of the site adding current issues, local news, events, cultural activities, guidelines from the experts in different fields like education, social work, career guidance etc. Ofcourse it is a laborious task but you can seek the assistance of experts and analysts in these fields.
Once again I thank you and wish you all success.
Abdurahiman Kavil.
